In this episode, Dr. Bob has a discussion with Joanna Ennis, a mother of five children as well as a women’s ministry speaker and leader. Don’t miss this dynamic conversation as Joanna talks about what it’s really like to raise five children, plus the absolute joy and challenges of motherhood.

Joanna lives in Southern California in a pretty, eclectic, fast -paced town perched just above the Pacific Ocean. Her home is literally always full of people. She and Jeff have been married for 27 years and have five children, 3 boys and 2 girls: Hailey, 23; Jonathon, 21; Andrew, 17; Elyse, 13; and Matthew, 11, and one very spoiled small dog named Wilson. She is passionate about many things: living an authentic life, travel, the ocean, her husband, family, talking with her hands and her dining room table. Most recently, she finds herself on a mission to help others open throw open their own doors and gather around their own tables for simple meals with family and friends, creating opportunities for friendship and belonging and slow conversation, which somehow just comes easy when we all just stop and rest into the the slow and intentional process of sharing a meal around a table together. She had been involved in women’s ministry in one way or another for the past 25 plus years: leading and speaking at women’s gatherings, retreat speaking and most recently becoming involved in IF: Gathering both as a local leader and a board member. Joanna’s mission is to encourage and inspire her audience by using stories from her own crazy, messy, imperfectly beautiful life to spread God’s truth that she and all women are precious, beloved and beautiful. She longs for each woman to understand that she is uniquely equipped by her Creator with passions, gifts and talents to be used right where she is, right here and now to spread His love and His glory to the very people they rub elbows with every day and most of all to point women to the graceful truth of the gospel and to absorb the miraculous truth that she beautifully bears the image of Christ.
